Roseto Mystery

I find this story very interesting. It makes me wondering if maybe it's just the food they eat, or something we have yet to see. Every question I ask myself is quickly answered with a reasonable answer, that makes complete sence. All though it's nothing physical that they are doing to make their lives last so much longer than an average person, it has to do a great deal with social influence. These people stick together and for that reason feel socially accepted and feel of importance for their community and their society. I think to refer this to leadership class it would mean that first of all, as a class we have to work together to make a big impact and our goal is to make other people feel better about themselves as well as help other people out. We need to work together because twenty voices or more are heard louder than just one voice.

Leadership Activities!

So far in leadership we have done a number of fun, awkward, and pointless activities. My favourite would have to be between the basketball with paper and bin or the Canadian flag made of hands. I had a lot of fun doing the flag because it was a group activity and i felt like my group worked really well together. No one refused to do work and everyone pitched in an equal amount. All though it didn't really point out a leader, it still showed that we all work well together and none of us are lazy or inconsiderate. My other favourite activity, however, was the basketball with the paper and a bucket. This was not very fun because it only lasted about two minutes but i found it very meaningful because i went to the first line so i wouldn't be embarrassed and so i could get three out of three if possible, if not at least two out of three. Considering i have a reputation to uphold i had to do well. The point of the activity was to prove that girls don't want to miss because it would be embarrassing for them and boys are different. They like to be risk takers and don't care if they miss, they will just brush it off and try it again.

GPP

This semester I was really excited about having leadership. I have only heard great things from friends that have already taken leadership. Some things that interest me most about leadership class are that we get to be more involved with the school and community. More specifically, through first semester I have heard so much talk about the "Me to We" program. After hearing about this, on TV, through friends, and through media class, it has made me more interested than ever. Having said that, I would really like to become involved in some way with the "Me to We" program this semester in leadership. More importantly I would love to be involved with builing the school that our school has been fundraising for. If there was anyway that I could get anymore involved with that, then anyone else I would manage that through this leadership class. To be completely honest though, I took this class because I heard it was fun. Also, I saw all the fun events that people from the leadership class had the oppertunity to run and be involved with. I knew this class would be a lot of work, even though it's fun. I think I should do well in this class because i plan on getting involved with everything I can and doing all projects to my best potential.

Blogs

My experience with blogging is very limited. I have heard about blogging, but have never been interested in trying it. I never really understood the point of blogging. Also, in conclusion, I am not against blogging in any way but I have never really had the chance to try it.
